Recently we visited Gondola Gondola for a staff Christmas lunch and got the Feed Me - Lunch ($48pp)! We left it up to the chef (apart from our friend insisting on the salt & pepper eggplant). We were glad she was firm on this - because the whole table mopped it up (crumbs and all)!

Thank you to Wing It Sports Bar for extending an invitation to come check out their joint! Awesome decor - we love and appreciate a place that commits to their theme. The entire joint is fitted out with sports memorabilia, autographed photography, etc. Complete with a gaming room, great for afterwork drinks and dinner or a quick feed during lunch if you work around King William Street!

We opted for the ‘Feed Me’ option as we were overwhelmed with the delicious options!
Overall, the food was fantastic and the feed me is great value for money if you want to try what they have to offer. Every dish was bursting with textures and delicious flavours!

Atmosphere: 4/5
Food: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Overall Rating: 11/15
Pricing: $$-$$$
This is the same Matcha House previously on O'Connell Street. They have now relocated to Grote Street. We ordered the Matcha Waffles, our favourite as they were perfectly crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. The matcha lava cake was extremely moist, and sweetened to perfection; with delicious matcha that oozes out! The matcha latte and bubble tea are only for the extreme matcha lovers as they are on the bitter (and not very sweet) side. Service could be improved overall, staff that attended to us were quite rude and abrupt. When we asked if there was an option for shared plates, we didn't get a very friendly response.
2nd & 6th
Atmosphere: 3.5/5
Food: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Overall Rating: 10.5/15
Pricing: $$$
From previous experience, 2nd & 6th was generally average with 1 or 2 dishes that stood out. A restaurant/bar with a great interior and atmosphere, but uncomfortable stools. Since they were offering a 50% off Dimmi special with a newly launched menu for winter, we thought we would give it another go. The smaller dishes - Baby Squid Tentacles, Grilled Haloumi & the dessert; Breakfast After Dinner, were the only likeable dishes. The duck was a no-go due to the sandy texture, with a medicinal aftertaste. Everything else that we ordered off the menu was just average, leaving us quite disappointed because the dishes were presented beautifully.
